This is how Photo Clic works:a photographer takes pictures with a digital camera and a memory card compatible with the
kiosk system. After each picture is taken,the photographer hands out a ticket to his customer. This ticket provides a bar code
for picture identification. This ticket is also an advertisement to encourage the customer to come and view the picture at the
kiosk at no extra obligation.In regular intervals,the photographer loads the memory card into the kiosk computing system for
self-service photo consultation.
Using radio transmission,the photographer is able to send images without traveling between the kiosks.When the customers
come to the kiosk,they use the bar code reader to scan their ticket.In a few seconds,the corresponding images appear on the
screen.Once the on-screen icon on theAdvantech touch Panel Computer is pressed,pictures can then be printed upon request.
Payment can be done in cash or with a credit card.Customers can also choose to copy the picture to a CD-ROM.

The core component of this photokiosk is a high performance touch Panel Computer byAdvantech,the PPC-153T.This powerful
computing platform features a 15" XGATFT LCD withan intuitive touchscreen.The peripherals connected to the PPC-153T include:
a bar code reader,color printer,CD recorder and card reader.
Solution
Six PPC-120T units with touch screen were fitted into slim kiosk enclosures for employees to check on HR policies,
apply for annual leave,check upcoming company events and access any other information on the company's server,
which is regularly updated.The touchscreen is user-friendly:employees can simply key in their specific inquiries while
a magnetic stripe reader on the kiosk verifies the employee's identity.When the kiosk is not in use,current production
data is scrolled on the screen to keep employees updated.
