4.3.2 COM port address & IRQ settings
The default COM port settings are as follows.
COM ports can be disabled or have their IRQ and address ranges changed
in the BIOS setup utility.
COM1 and COM2 are one set. You can exchange the address range and
interrupt of COM1 for the address range and interrupt of COM2. After
exchanging:
COM1’s address range and interrupt are 2F8 ~ 2FF and IRQ3
COM2’s address range and interrupt are 3F8 ~ 3FF and IRQ4
COM3 and COM4 are one set. You can exchange the address range and
interrupt of COM3 for the address range and interrupt of COM4. After
exchanging:
COM3’s address range and interrupt are 2E8 ~ 2EF and IRQ5
COM4’s address range and interrupt are 3E8 ~ 3EF and IRQ10
